Spring is coming, slowly but steady. Yet, every morning i first need to cuddle up in one of my warm sweaters for the first few hours. Whilst the design sewing is running hot already, i’d like to share another one of my braided tops with you. This time, i used the other back and front pieces compared to the last one i showed to you. And i’ve got tons of fabric left in my stash to try out each and every possibility and all kinds of different straps 😉

I still like all kinds of animal prints, for once i didn’t use a leo print, but rather a nice lilac zebra 😉 The front of my shirt looks like any ordinary elegant tanktop, but wait for the back!

Now here you get the ‘wow effect’ from this braided top. I simply braided the straps straight down to the middle back, but i looks like so much more than just plain straps. And don’t worry about your bra, wear a strapless one or get some of those things (do they have an official name?) to hold your straps together – they’ll disappear under your shirt.

This will be one of those spring/summer sewing patterns which i’m going to sew over and over again, in every color and length.. Oh and i already know that i want one or two (or many) dresses too, just add a few extra inches 😉

And now tell me, how do YOU welcome this year’s spring?

Love,
Carina
